MMM
It is indeed sad that I am roused, if that is the correct word, to blog by a car. Not just any car mind you, but a 3.2 litre Porsche Boxster S in Speed Yellow (with Tiptronic gearbox, carbon effect interior, grey leather seats blah blah blah).
If I am truthful, I have been meaning to write for a while, it being a some time since I have written anything. I have just not got round to it. Sorry.
Life is predominantly good. I am employed at the same company and they like me, I like them and my storming out of our area into the Chief Executive's office for an unplanned, initially heated yet ultimately beneficial discussion last week seems to have cleared the air with my line manager and done me no damage with the Chief Exec either. Thinking about it, that would have made a good blog entry...
Here's a laugh, the guy who replaced me at my last company emailed me this week to see if I was interested in talking to him about a position as he was so impressed with the quality of work I had done there... I have yet to respond, as I haven't quite fine tuned my response.
Back to the Porsche. I admit it, I am obviously just plain shallow. As an incentive, the company bought the aforementioned vehicle to give to the most successful sales person (on a weekly basis) to take home for the weekend. First qualifying week - who wins?
I really didn't think I would get that worked up about it, but I can't wait to get my little mitts on it come Friday. Shame it's only a 2 seater, had to ditch the kids so I can take Claire out to play so there are compensations!
I'll let you know how it went.
